Reorganise site for publication by moving top-level index, JS and asset files into a public/ directory (including CNAME and assets). Replace the old inline/legacy script and index with an accessible, deferred script and a revamped public/index.html (aria attributes, keyboard handling, noscript notice, no inline event handlers). Add a test harness: package.json with vitest/jsdom devDependencies and test scripts, plus tests (structure, security, script behaviour, optional projects.json checks) and a sitePaths helper for resolving assets. Also tidy .gitignore (remove assets/.DS_Store). This enables automated checks of the static site and prepares the repo for GitHub Pages hosting from public/.
